President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the Mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo.
“We are grateful for your support. Many allies have truly helped us repair and restore life in Borodyanka, Bucha, and other cities. This is extremely important. And thank you for the energy assistance, for the support packages,” the Head of State said.
Before the meeting, the Mayor of Paris visited Borodyanka in the Kyiv region, which suffered extensive damage during the Russian occupation. Anne Hidalgo noted that she had also visited Borodyanka in April 2022 and is now impressed by how much has been restored.
The discussion addressed diplomatic efforts to achieve a dignified peace and meetings involving the U.S. and Russian sides.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Anne Hidalgo also spoke about the Winter Olympic Games in Italy.

“During the Winter Olympics, we see different attitudes, so I am very grateful for the Summer Olympics and for your personal support of Ukrainians,” the President emphasized.
The Head of State awarded Anne Hidalgo the Order of Princess Olga, III class. Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion, the Mayor has visited Ukraine six times. At her initiative, a park was opened in Paris in honor of the courage of Ukrainians. As a representative of the host city for the 2024 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games, she repeatedly spoke out publicly against the participation of Russian and Belarusian athletes. She also organized a reception for Ukrainian athletes at the Paris City Hall and presented them with honorary Paris medals for bravery and resilience. The Mayor of Paris is also involved in projects under the auspices of Ukraine’s First Lady, particularly in the areas of inclusivity and accessibility.
