Ihor Zhovkva Discussed the Outcomes of International Events Involving the President of Ukraine and the Country’s EU Integration Priorities with EU Ambassadors

Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Ihor Zhovkva, met with the Head of the European Union Delegation to Ukraine and the Ambassadors of EU member states.

During the meeting, they discussed the outcomes of events involving the President of Ukraine that took place last week: the Nordic-Baltic Eight meetings in Copenhagen, the Coalition of the Willing session in Paris, and the visits to Uzhhorod by the President of the European Council, António Costa, and the Prime Minister of Slovakia, Robert Fico.

Ihor Zhovkva thanked the European Union and its member states for their unwavering support for Ukraine. He emphasized that the contribution of each country is important for achieving a just and sustainable peace.

Special attention was given to key components of security guarantees, strengthening sanctions pressure on Russia, and coordinating EU and U.S. actions on this matter.

The participants also discussed the European Union’s enlargement policy, particularly regarding Ukraine’s future membership.

“Ukraine’s full EU membership is a key element of future security guarantees for our state. Ukraine is committed to continuing the reforms necessary for accession and is ready to cooperate closely with European partners along this path,” Ihor Zhovkva stated.
