President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy switches to a special work mode as his wife Olena is infected with COVID-19.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone conversation with Prime Minister of Sweden Stefan Löfven. The President of Ukraine congratulated the Head of the Swedish Government on the National Day of Sweden celebrated on June 6. The parties discussed the situation with the spread and containment of coronavirus infection in both countries.

The government is concerned about the growing number of coronavirus patients for the second day in a row. Over the past 24 hours, 683 new cases of infection have been confirmed. This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal at the traditional conference call on the prevention of the spread of COVID-19 chaired by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Relevant decree № 217/2020 was signed by the President on June 11.

Mobile network operators continue to actively connect Ukrainian settlements to 4G. In May, 1,188 inhabited localities were connected to 4G networks. Of these, 723 received 4G for the first time, and others now have an alternative in choosing 4G services from different operators.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that initially the IMF had planned to allocate $ 1.9 billion in the first tranche. However, due to his personal arrangement with IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva, the Fund will allocate $ 2.1 billion.
