The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has adopted the draft law on the creation of the Military Ombudsman institution, an initiative put forward by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy. A total of 283 MPs voted in favor.

On the occasion of Rescuer's Day, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the employees of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, congratulated them on their professional holiday, and presented state awards.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy accepted the letters of credence of the newly appointed ambassadors: Michalis Firillas of Cyprus, Andrejs Pildegovičs of Latvia, and Kanwar Adnan Ahmed Khan of Pakistan.

On the occasion of Tank Troops Day, marked in Ukraine the day before, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with warriors and presented them with state awards: the Orders of Bohdan Khmelnytsky, III class, and the Orders “For Courage,” I–III class.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy congratulated film industry representatives – artists and students, future filmmakers – on Ukrainian Cinema Day, presented them with state awards, and conferred honorary titles.

The President noted that it is necessary to finalize the process of developing security guarantees for Ukraine from European countries and to present the outcome to American partners.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs of the United Kingdom, Yvette Cooper, who is visiting Ukraine on her official first trip.

Ending Russia’s war is possible through collective strong pressure and the joint development, together with Europe and the United States, of a multi-component air defense system. This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy during his speech at the annual Yalta European Strategy (YES) meeting.
