President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Jonathan Powell; Foreign Policy and Security Advisor to the Federal Chancellor of Germany Günter Sautter; Diplomatic Advisor to the President of the Council of Ministers of Italy Fabrizio Saggio; and Advisor for Continental Europe and Türkiye to the President of France Bertrand Buchwalter.
The Head of State thanked the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, and their leaders for supporting Ukraine, for their efforts within the Coalition of the Willing, and for advancing security guarantees for our country.
“I am happy that we have a plan. And of course, I am happy to share some details regarding where we stand now. In my opinion, it is very important to have a plan before any conclusion — any format for ending this war,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized.
The President noted that it is necessary to finalize the process of developing security guarantees for Ukraine from European countries and to present the outcome to American partners.
The Head of State once again underscored that he is ready for a meeting with the Russian side at the level of leaders.
The discussion also addressed coordination of security efforts to counter Russian escalation, particularly drone attacks on Poland. Such cooperation is especially relevant for protecting critical infrastructure ahead of winter.
The President stated that Ukraine is ready to contribute to NATO’s collective defense and share its experience. Ukraine proposes jointly intercepting all Russian targets over Ukrainian territory. Volodymyr Zelenskyy also stressed the need to further strengthen Ukraine’s air defense.
In addition, the parties agreed on a schedule of joint international events involving leaders.
