Our dear warriors!
Today, on the eve of Pokrova – the Day of Defenders of Ukraine – it is an honor for me to be here, to present you with state awards and, of course, to thank all of you for defending our country and protecting it, for holding the front firmly, and for carrying out our active operations. In the fifth year of the full-scale war, Russia looks very different on the front from what it wanted to look – and this is solely thanks to you, thanks to the determination of our troops, the training of our warriors, and the well-planned operations of our army – of Ukraine’s Defense and Security Forces. We are doing everything to destroy Russian military logistics, and our respective operations continue nonstop. Our warriors are degrading Russia’s strike capabilities and destroying infiltration attempts. It is our warriors who hold the advantage in the use of technology on the front, and often, under difficult, tough conditions, with smaller forces and under the constant threat of strikes – including guided aerial bombs and other Russian attacks – our military achieves the results Ukraine and the Ukrainian people need. And all of this is extremely important so that our entire country can live, continue to exist, continue to function, defend its independence and Ukraine’s right to life. Right now, things are difficult in many cities and communities on the home front, including the capital, because of constant Russian attacks – with “shaheds” and missiles – against energy infrastructure, critical infrastructure, literally against life itself. Russia is escalating and trying to break Ukraine – especially now, ahead of winter. We are doing everything to defend our state. We strike back at the aggressor. We are developing new weapons and fighting for new support from our partners. But all of this holds because the front is strong, because it has not been broken, because our corps and brigades are active and strong, and because our people are fighting for Ukraine. I want to thank all of you and your brothers and sisters-in-arms for your courage, for your skill. Thank you for Ukraine. And, of course, we always remember and honor the fallen heroes of our state, whose courage and bravery gave us the chance to live and preserved our state. I ask you to honor the memory of all fallen warriors with a minute of silence.
