During a working trip to the Sumy region on the anniversary of the start of the Kursk operation, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi, Minister of Defense Denys Shmyhal, and Commander of the Air Assault Forces Oleh Apostol.
Oleksandr Syrskyi briefed the President on the operational and strategic situation along the entire frontline.
Denys Shmyhal presented the Ministry of Defense’s six-month action plan and key priorities. This includes developing defense innovations, scaling up digitalization, projects to expand the production of weapons and military equipment, improving defense resource management, and attracting international assistance.
The President also heard a report from Oleh Apostol on the activities of the Air Assault Forces.
