President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the warriors of the 128th Zakarpattia Separate Mountain Assault Brigade, which is defending the Stepnohirsk area in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Brigade Commander Ihor Burdeinyi briefed the Head of State on combat activities in the sector and the recent increase in assault actions by the occupiers, including enemy attempts to bypass Ukrainian fortifications by taking advantage of the local terrain.
The President also had a separate discussion with the military leadership on the implementation of drone procurement programs through the brigades’ own funding and through electronic points under the Army of Drones: Bonus program, as well as the specifics of employing Vampire drones. The Head of State stressed that all issues raised would be addressed and resolved.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked the warriors and their brothers-in-arms for defending Ukraine and presented them with state awards.
“I want to award you and thank you for protecting the state, our territorial integrity, and for supporting one another. Take care of yourselves. Thank you for bringing us closer to victory. I wish everyone victory and a just peace for all of us,” said the President.
