President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with the Marshal of the Sejm of Poland, Włodzimierz Czarzasty.
Key topics of discussion included strengthening defense cooperation and security for both countries, economic partnership, and the involvement of Polish companies in Ukraine’s reconstruction.

The leaders also discussed support for Ukrainians who have found temporary refuge in Poland. Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed gratitude for the adoption of the law extending the period of stay for Ukrainians.
They further addressed the increase in sanctions pressure on Russia and joint efforts to return Ukrainian children who were abducted and illegally deported by the Russian Federation.
In addition, the parties covered topics regarding the historical memory of Ukraine and Poland. The Head of State emphasized that historical issues should unite and strengthen nations, and that leaders should remind people that Ukraine and Poland share more joint victories than tragedies.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Włodzimierz Czarzasty also paid tribute to the Sejm deputies of the Second Polish Republic who perished during the Second World War, laying wreaths at the memorial plaque honoring 296 fallen Polish parliamentarians.
