Olena Zelenska Arrived in the United States and Took Part in the Fostering the Future Together Global Coalition Summit, Highlighting Ukraine’s Digitalization

First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska has arrived in the United States at the invitation of U.S. First Lady Melania Trump to take part in the two-day summit of the Fostering the Future Together global coalition.

The coalition was launched by the First Lady of the United States during the 80th session of the UN General Assembly to bring countries together around expanding opportunities for children through education and technology. The summit includes representatives from 45 countries and 28 technology companies.

“Ukraine has much to share here. It would be no exaggeration to say that, besides the resilience of our people, it is precisely digital systems that help us endure,” the President’s wife emphasized in her address to the summit participants.

In particular, Olena Zelenska spoke about the State in a Smartphone concept – a vision implemented through Ukraine’s government service Diia.

“When millions of Ukrainians were forced to leave their homes, when physical infrastructure was being destroyed, the state and its services remained with people on their phones. This is precisely why Diia was included in TIME’s list of the best inventions of the year,” the First Lady noted.

She also highlighted the Diia.Education platform where people can freely gain knowledge in digital literacy, data skills, online safety, and cyber hygiene.

In addition, Ukraine has developed the Mriia ecosystem, created on the initiative of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. It is a unified digital education platform for students, parents, and teachers, bringing together all key elements of the learning process in one environment – from educational materials and schedules to communication and assessment. One in four educational institutions in the country is already connected to Mriia, and kindergartens are now beginning to join the Mriia.Preschool system.

According to Olena Zelenska, artificial intelligence is already becoming part of Ukraine’s digital solutions. In 2025, Ukraine established the WINWIN AI Center of Excellence, a national hub working on integrating AI into key areas of public life.

“We are joining Mrs. Trump’s initiative and see it as an important step toward elevating the issue of children’s development and education to the global level and bringing countries together around a shared responsibility,” the President’s wife concluded.
