Olena Zelenska: Mutual Support of Ukrainians and Danes is Inspiring

The First Lady of Ukraine continues her visit to Denmark to participate in the second Ukraine Investment Forum.

During her visit to the Kingdom of Denmark, Olena Zelenska, together with Sophie Løhde, the Minister for Interior and Health of Denmark, visited Headspace, the largest nationwide civil society service for mental health prevention and support for young people aged 12 to 25.

Today, 32 Headspace centers operate in various municipalities across Denmark. The center was founded by Poul Rasmussen, the former Prime Minister of Denmark.

The center offers counseling on peer problems, relationships, family issues, or any other problems that may be difficult to talk about with family.

"I visited Headspace today to find out what we can adopt from Denmark for the All-Ukrainian Mental Health Program, that we have been working on since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. Our children are more vulnerable than we are, but they have us to find answers to all their difficult questions together," the President's wife said.

The First Lady also met with the leaders of the charitable volunteer union "Bevar Ukraine".

This organization helps Ukrainians, including forced migrants, orphans, and people with disabilities, medical, educational and children's institutions. It also strengthens communication between the people of Denmark and Ukraine.

Since 2014, Bevar Ukraine has delivered: 299 trucks and planes with humanitarian and medical aid, almost 2.5 tons of humanitarian aid to all regions of Ukraine (for 785 hospitals, clinics, schools, and educational institutions).

"Help is always inspiring. Especially when it is provided by Ukrainians for Ukrainians, offering not just support but also an example of Ukrainian cooperation in every corner of the world," the First Lady emphasized.
