President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a phone call with Prime Minister of Denmark Mette Frederiksen.
The Head of State thanked Denmark for its strong and tangible support for Ukraine, which strengthens the country’s defense capabilities and helps the Ukrainian people.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Mette Frederiksen discussed Ukraine’s European integration and the need to open the first negotiation cluster. During Denmark’s Presidency of the EU Council for this six-month period, it is important to make full use of the time to implement all necessary decisions.
The President emphasized that Ukraine is doing everything in its power to meet its commitments to the European Union. The Head of State noted that his bill, which guarantees the independence of anti-corruption institutions, has already been registered in the Verkhovna Rada. Mette Frederiksen assured that Denmark supports it. Both leaders share a common position: it is important for the parliament to adopt the bill without delay this week.
In addition, the President and the Prime Minister agreed on further contacts, both bilateral and within broader international formats.
