More Than 2,100 Ukrainian Children Abducted by Russia Have Been Returned Home: President Received a Report on the Results of the Bring Kids Back UA Initiative

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy received a report from representatives of the Bring Kids Back UA team, Oleksandr Bevz and Maksym Maksymov, on the results of the initiative’s work.

Overall, since the launch of Bring Kids Back UA, more than 2,100 Ukrainian children abducted by Russia have been returned home. Of these, 150 have been returned since the beginning of this year.

Oleksandr Bevz and Maksym Maksymov also reported that a special commission under the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine continues to analyze and verify data on each case of the abduction of Ukrainian children.

In addition, the meeting addressed further steps to implement the United Nations General Assembly resolution “Return of Ukrainian Children,” adopted in December 2025.

Meeting participants noted that it is important that the report by the Independent International Commission of Inquiry on Ukraine, for the first time at the UN level, classified the deportation and forced displacement of Ukrainian children as a crime against humanity.

On May 11, a ministerial-level meeting of the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children will take place in Brussels. Ukraine expects broad representation, concrete decisions, and practical support from partners.
