First Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Sergiy Kyslytsya met with a delegation of permanent representatives of the OSCE participating States. The delegation included OSCE ambassadors from more than 20 countries, as well as representatives of the Organization's Secretariat and all of its autonomous institutions.
Sergiy Kyslytsya stressed that the OSCE must remain an important platform for political pressure on Russia, documenting its crimes and ensuring accountability, as well as coordinating international efforts to support Ukraine.
The participants discussed the situation on the front line, the progress and prospects of the peace process, and the roles of the United States and Europe in it. Sergiy Kyslytsya emphasized the importance of holding a leaders' level meeting as soon as possible.
The First Deputy Head of the Presidential Office also highlighted the significant technological progress of Ukraine's defense industry and the role of our state in shaping Europe's security architecture.
The meeting also covered the OSCE's possible role in monitoring peace agreements, supporting post-war settlement efforts, and contributing to recovery.
"Given the fundamental difference between the security situation at the beginning of Russia's aggression in 2014 and in the fifth year of the full-scale invasion, as well as the experience of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission, we must take a realistic view of the Organization's capabilities in the political and security dimension," Sergiy Kyslytsya said.
The permanent representatives of the OSCE participating States reaffirmed their solidarity with Ukraine and their readiness to continue supporting the country in countering Russian aggression, advancing peace, and strengthening the resilience of the Ukrainian state and society.
The total budget for OSCE projects in Ukraine for 2022–2028 amounts to €60 million. The OSCE's program activities in Ukraine are supported by 36 participating States and the European Union. The second phase of the 2025–2028 program provides €39 million in funding for the implementation of 21 projects.
