In London, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Keir Starmer.
The Head of State thanked him for organizing the meeting in the E3–Ukraine format and emphasized the importance of giving new momentum to diplomatic work to achieve peace.
The President noted the United Kingdom’s defense support, stressing the need to develop drone production and strengthen Ukraine’s air defense. Volodymyr Zelenskyy separately informed him about work with partners in the special Drone Deal format, which has strong prospects.
The meeting focused in detail on the protection and support of Ukraine’s energy sector and preparations for winter. The President of Ukraine informed him about the country’s current needs to strengthen energy resilience.
Special attention was given to increasing sanctions pressure on Russia. Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked the United Kingdom for its new sanctions package against cryptocurrency and other financial networks that Russia uses to circumvent the restrictions already imposed.
The leaders also focused on preparations for the G7 and NATO Summits and the next meetings of the Coalition of the Willing.
