At St. Sophia of Kyiv, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and First Lady Olena Zelenska met with children from Kyiv and the Kyiv region whose parents gave their lives for our country.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Olena Zelenska spoke with the children and presented them with Easter gifts.
An excursion, an Easter egg-hunting quest, traditional spring and Easter songs, and a stained-glass workshop were organized for the children on the grounds of St. Sophia.
“We want to wish you a happy holiday. Of course, we wish you warmth, kindness, and light. Your smiles are so beautiful – do not lose them. And we wish victory to all of you,” the President said.
The event took place within the Socially Responsible Business Platform “To the Children of Our Defenders,” which brings together nearly 90 businesses, entrepreneurs, and the state. With the support of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine, the State Service of Ukraine for Children, and Ukraine’s International Chamber of Commerce, they support children who have lost their parents in different regions of Ukraine – organizing excursions, activities, and camps.
The President emphasized that during the war, it is important for businesses and entrepreneurs to be socially responsible and to support children whose parents gave their lives defending Ukraine from Russian aggression.
