On the Day of Remembrance and Victory over Nazism in the Second World War of 1939–1945, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and First Lady Olena Zelenska commemorated the fallen.

The ceremony was also attended by: Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, Head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak, Minister for Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiha, and representatives of diplomatic missions in Ukraine.
Those present observed a moment of silence in memory of the fallen.
For the second time, Ukraine marks May 8 as the Day of Remembrance and Victory over Nazism in the Second World War of 1939–1945 together with the rest of the world. This date was established by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in May 2023.
