President Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasizes that the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine imposed sanctions against TV channels financed from the temporarily occupied territory and from the aggressor state.
"We didn’t close our TV channels. We closed theirs," the Head of State said at a press briefing during a working trip to Donbas answering the question whether NASH TV channel would be closed.
Answering the question whether the President would sign the law on collaborators initiated by the European Solidarity faction if it is approved in the parliament, Volodymyr Zelenskyy replied: "This party had an opportunity to close channels financed from the temporarily occupied territory and from the Russian Federation, back in 2018. They did not. Therefore, it seems to me that any such legislative efforts are only efforts, because any leader must take serious steps, not just talk".
