President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
The Head of State emphasized the importance of the PURL initiative, which enables the purchase of American weapons with the funds of NATO member states. Within the initiative, the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Germany, and Canada have financed four packages worth over $2 billion. The meeting focused on expanding the number of countries contributing to and participating in PURL.
Special attention was given to Russian threats, in particular the incidents involving Russian drones in the airspace of European countries.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Mark Rutte agreed on further steps, coordinated positions within Ukraine–NATO cooperation, and discussed the upcoming Ramstein meeting at the level of defense ministers.
