President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held phone calls with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and President of Finland Alexander Stubb.
The Head of State briefed them on the situation with Russian strikes, Ukraine’s defense needs, and preparations for meetings with envoys of the President of the United States.
“Mark and I see the need for progress in diplomacy in the same way, and the meetings taking place in the coming days could be useful,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said following his conversation with the NATO Secretary General.
The President thanked the partners for hearing Ukraine’s need to cover the gap in defense funding and for working on this.
Mark Rutte briefed the President on his conversations regarding the financing of the PURL initiative and the Patriot missiles Ukraine needs.
The Head of State thanked the President of Finland for keeping Ukraine front and center and for their joint work to bring greater security to both countries and peoples.
“We must do everything possible to end this insane Russian war and guarantee a normal life. We are working together,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed following his conversation with the President of Finland.
Alexander Stubb assured him of Finland’s steadfast support for Ukraine and the peace process. The leaders coordinated their next steps.
