President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met in Kyiv with Michael McCaul, Chairman Emeritus of the U.S. House Committee on Foreign Affairs.
The Head of State expressed gratitude for the bipartisan support and attention to Ukraine.

Michael McCaul congratulated Ukraine on a successful NATO Summit in Ankara, particularly on the important decisions made to strengthen the protection of Ukraine's skies. The Congressman emphasized that ballistic missiles remain one of the greatest threats posed by Russia.
The President briefed the Congressman on the outcomes of his meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump in Ankara.
"Really, the Summit was successful for us. I hope that this will continue. And licenses to produce future Patriot systems in Ukraine are very important to us. Of course, first and foremost, this sends a signal to our people that we can be safe. But we understand that this is not a short road. We have about 500 technology companies in Ukraine, and dozens of them are very strong. I hope they will be able to do this as quickly as possible, if we receive these licenses as soon as possible," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
The meeting also covered the situation on the battlefield, Russia's attacks on Ukraine's civilian infrastructure and our people, and Ukraine's long-range responses, the impact of which is being felt by the aggressor. Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine is carrying out long-range sanctions at distances of more than 2,500 kilometers from its border. Fuel shortages are now spreading across Russia, its economy is suffering significant losses, and growing numbers of Russians are becoming dissatisfied.
"We are very impressed by your people. The innovation you've made with your drone technology is very impressive," Michael McCaul said.

The President also spoke about work on the future Drone Deal agreement between Ukraine and the United States, which will become a significant contribution to strengthening defense cooperation between the two countries. It is important that the U.S. side has already tested certain Ukrainian drones and provided positive feedback.
Attention was also given to increasing sanctions pressure on Russia. Michael McCaul informed the President about a meeting his delegation held with Ukrainian sanctions experts during the visit. He and his team will continue to work on the relevant proposals in Washington.
The President presented Michael McCaul with the Order of Merit, II class. He also awarded the Order of Merit, III class, to Ron Wahid, founder and Chairman of Magellan Investment Holdings, who was also present at the meeting.
