President Thanked Rescuers Who Responded to the Aftermath of Russian Strikes in Recent Weeks

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy recognized the rescuers who took part in responding to the aftermath of Russian attacks in recent weeks. The Head of State mentioned this in his evening address.

“These days, in most regions, repair crews, power engineers, and utility services are virtually working around the clock – everyone is involved. Restoration continues, and although the situation remains difficult, thousands of people are engaged in stabilizing the system and repairing the damage,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized.

The President recognized the employees of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Poltava region: firefighter-rescuer of the 2nd State Fire and Rescue Unit Yevhenii Luchko, head of the 21st State Fire and Rescue Unit Oleh Korkishko, deputy head of the Emergency Response Unit Volodymyr Martynenko, squad commander of the 14th State Fire and Rescue Unit Volodymyr Pyrih, and chief of the guard of the 2nd State Fire and Rescue Unit Oleksandr Koliaka.

The Head of State also thanked the employees of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region: firefighter-rescuer of the 22nd State Fire and Rescue Unit Yurii Podtykan, chief of the guard of the 18th State Fire and Rescue Unit Volodymyr Pidhornyi, driver of the 22nd State Fire and Rescue Unit Dmytro Horin, deputy head of the Main Department Oleksii Chaplyhin, and senior firefighter-rescuer of the 58th State Fire and Rescue Unit Volodymyr Fedota.

“I am grateful to everyone working for our state, to all who help, and to everyone fighting for our state as for themselves,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy concluded.
