President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy accepted the letters of credence from the newly appointed ambassadors of foreign states: Bulgaria – Zlatin Krastev; Estonia – Tiina Intelmann; India – Anjani Kumar; and Germany – Boris Ruge.

The Head of State congratulated the ambassadors on the beginning of their diplomatic missions in our country and briefed them on relations between the countries, diplomatic efforts to end the war, Russia’s intensifying attacks, and the need to support Ukraine ahead of winter.

During his conversation with the Ambassador of Bulgaria, the President noted the development of relations between the countries.

“And, most importantly, not only at the state level, but also at the level of our people. It is very important that our nations respect each other,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized.

The Head of State noted that there is an active dialogue with Bulgarian Prime Minister Rumen Radev. In particular, in July, during the NATO Summit, the leaders discussed energy cooperation and security, which is especially important ahead of winter. The sides discussed implementing all these agreements.

The conversation with the Ambassador of Estonia focused on the importance of strong and very clear support for Ukraine from her country.

“We truly have excellent relations throughout all the years of our independence. Our nations, different people and our governments have built wonderful relations between our countries. We are proud to have such good friends,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

The President noted Estonia’s continued support for Ukraine’s aspiration to become an integral part of the European Union and NATO.

They discussed the development of defense cooperation between the countries, including the implementation of the agreement in the Drone Deal format, which has been an important step in this direction.

Speaking with the Ambassador of India, Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed hope for the further development of good relations between the two countries.

“We have good bilateral relations with the Prime Minister. Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Kyiv was excellent. We have a very constructive dialogue,” the Head of State noted.

The President emphasized the need to increase the level of engagement between the two governments. The sides discussed prospects for expanding trade and economic relations.

The President of Ukraine thanked the Ambassador of Germany for all the support from his country.

“We are very proud to have such strong friends. Not only at the level of individuals, but also of your entire nation. Your support is the greatest in Europe. We know this and remember it,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized.

They discussed the importance of further developing and expanding joint defense production, including drones. The results of this will be felt by both Ukrainian and German people and will strengthen the security of Europe as a whole.

Another important aspect is Germany’s significant political and financial support. In particular, the support of the Chancellor and the German Government helped Ukraine strengthen its budget and military through the decision to allocate €90 billion from the European Union for 2026–2027.

Another absolute priority is preparing Ukraine’s energy sector for winter and strengthening air defense.

“Putin has not stopped the war and does not want to stop it. Therefore, we must be ready,” the President stressed.
