President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a phone call with President of Moldova Maia Sandu.
The Head of State congratulated Maia Sandu on the important victory of the pro-European forces in the parliamentary elections and wished her continued success.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed that these elections demonstrated: Russian destabilization efforts are losing, while Moldova in Europe is winning. The President noted that it was important that Moldova effectively defended itself from threats together with all those who helped it.
The idea of Europe triumphed in the elections – the idea of normal and stable national development. Russia’s subversive activity will not spread further into Europe. Despite enormous resources spent by the Russian Federation to undermine the situation and corrupt everyone, Russia failed to destabilize Moldova.
The President emphasized that Ukraine always supports Moldova and looks forward to further developing cooperation. Ukraine and Moldova are jointly overcoming challenges and building a future in which both nations will have security, economic, and social prospects.
