The special forces of the Security Service of Ukraine consistently rank among the top three most effective units of Ukraine’s Defense and Security Forces in terms of destroyed enemy equipment and manpower. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this during a meeting with the warriors of the “A” Special Operations Center of the Security Service of Ukraine.
The President congratulated the defenders on the 31st anniversary of the unit’s founding and presented them with state awards for their participation in battles to defend Ukraine.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion, the warriors of the “A” Special Operations Center of the Security Service of Ukraine have destroyed Russian military equipment worth over $5.5 billion, including enemy tanks, armored vehicles, electronic warfare systems, and other equipment. The Head of State noted that this figure does not include the results of Operation “Spiderweb”.
“The special forces of the Security Service consistently rank among the top three most effective units of Ukraine’s Defense and Security Forces in terms of destroyed enemy equipment and manpower. This impact is always tangible. I thank you for everything you do for all of us, for Ukraine, for the independence of our state,” the President said.
The memory of all the warriors who gave their lives in battles for Ukraine was honored with a moment of silence.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented the defenders with the Orders of the Golden Star of the Hero of Ukraine, the Crosses of Military Merit, the Orders of Merit III class, the Orders of Bohdan Khmelnytsky III class, the Orders “For Courage” III class, the Orders of Danylo Halytskyi, and the Medals "For Military Service to Ukraine".
