President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a working meeting on reforming Ukroboronprom. It was attended by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister for Strategic Industries Oleh Urusky and Director General of Ukroboronprom Yuriy Gusev.
During a meeting, Yuriy Gusev presented a roadmap for reforming Ukroboronprom and reported on the first results of preparations for the transformation of Ukroboronprom into modern holdings with an effective corporate governance system.
The President commissioned Oleksiy Danilov to prepare and submit the issue of reforming Ukroboronprom for consideration by the National Security and Defense Council in February.
The President supported the proposal to increase the share of Ukroboronprom's enterprises in the state defense order during the approval of this document for 2021, and instructed the relevant Deputy Prime Minister Oleh Urusky to speed up the preparation of bylaws for the implementation of the Law of Ukraine "On Defense Procurement".
"We have to restructure the state defense-industrial complex. It is necessary to introduce a modern model of corporate governance at Ukroboronprom's enterprises,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized.
