President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Denmark’s Minister of Defense Jeppe Bruus, who is visiting our country for the first time since his appointment.
The Head of State thanked the Minister of Defense, the Government, and the people of Denmark for their support and financial assistance since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale aggression. The President noted that during the war, the two countries have managed to create successful models of cooperation, including the Danish model, and now have an opportunity to expand them. Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed special gratitude for supporting the Czech initiative to supply ammunition.
“Now we have discussed a major agreement, the Drone Deal. I know that our teams have been working on it, and it is almost ready. I hope that in the near future, we will have the opportunity to sign this document,” the Head of State said.
The President and the Minister of Defense share the view that the Drone Deal between Ukraine and Denmark should be concluded as soon as possible.
Jeppe Bruus assured that he and Denmark’s new government will continue the policy of strong support for Ukraine and Ukrainians.
During the meeting, the parties also discussed the contents of the next, already 30th, support package for Ukraine.
Special attention was paid to cooperation on strengthening European anti-ballistic capabilities. Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked Jeppe Bruus for cooperation in this area.
