In Brussels, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a one-on-one meeting with Prime Minister of Hungary Péter Magyar.

The leaders discussed key issues on the bilateral agenda and Ukraine’s progress toward EU accession. The President thanked the Prime Minister for his principled steps and for the opening of two more negotiating clusters. Work is underway to open the remaining two clusters by the end of the year.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Péter Magyar also discussed the current diplomatic situation and efforts to end Russia’s war. The Head of State thanked Hungary for its solidarity with Ukraine and our people, and for its readiness to work together for peace.
The leaders also discussed opportunities for cooperation between Ukraine and Hungary, trade, and issues related to agricultural products.
“Ukraine always stands for good-neighborly relations and mutual strengthening. We agreed to resume joint work at various levels and to exchange visits. Our teams will work out the dates,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
