In the course of the state visit to Georgia, President of Ukraine held negotiations with Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili.
The Head of State expressed gratitude to Georgia for its firm and comprehensive support and provision of humanitarian assistance in the rehabilitation of the Ukrainian servicemen and children affected by the hostilities in Donbas.
The parties noted the importance of developing cooperation in multilateral formats with a view to de-occupy the territories of Ukraine and Georgia.
They agreed to unite efforts on the implementation of strategic partnership between Ukraine and Georgia in the framework of the Declaration signed during the visit. They also discussed the activity of the newly established Ukraine-Georgia High-Level Strategic Council.
The Head of State and the Prime Minister of Georgia discussed sectoral cooperation, particularly in trade-economic sphere and noted the intention to increase trade turnover between the countries at least up to 1 billion dollars.
They praised the activity of the Ukrainian-Georgian business forum and noted the importance of increasing the efficiency of the working groups within the Joint Intergovernmental Ukraine-Georgia Commission for Economic Cooperation.
