President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone call with President of Costa Rica Laura Fernández Delgado.
The Head of State thanked her for her warm and important words of support for Ukraine and our people.
“We appreciate that Costa Rica stands with us during votes on resolutions at the UN General Assembly, in the work to return Ukrainian children abducted by Russia, and in holding the Russian Federation accountable for its crimes, including the crime of aggression,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted.
The two leaders discussed the potential for cooperation between their countries. There are many areas in which the partnership between Ukraine and Costa Rica can deliver good results. Costa Rica is interested in Ukraine’s experience in the field of security.
The leaders agreed that their teams would work on a possible format for a meeting at the leadership level.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy invited Laura Fernández Delgado to visit Ukraine, and she invited the President of Ukraine to Costa Rica.
