In Tallinn, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a joint meeting with President of Finland Alexander Stubb and Prime Minister of Norway Jonas Gahr Støre.
The Head of State thanked Alexander Stubb and Jonas Gahr Støre, their countries and peoples, for their steadfast assistance, support, and implementation of all agreements.
“In recent months, Ukraine has indeed been in a stronger position on the battlefield thanks to our army and thanks to your support, which is very important,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
The partners noted that they see a shift in positions on the front in Ukraine’s favor. The leaders share the view that approaches in diplomacy, which everyone is now working to reinvigorate, must be based precisely on this.
The Head of State informed them about his meeting with the leaders of the United Kingdom, France, and Germany in the E3–Ukraine format in London and his conversation with envoys of the U.S. President the day before.
During the meeting, they also discussed increasing sanctions pressure on Russia, primarily on its shadow fleet.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that Russia is trying to compensate for its enormous losses on the battlefield with strikes on Ukrainian cities and communities. According to the President, missiles for our air defense remain a constant priority. The leaders discussed how to secure additional supplies for Ukraine immediately, as well as efforts to develop Europe’s anti-ballistic defense capabilities.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed that it is important for the European financial support package for Ukraine to be put to work as soon as possible.
The parties also discussed Ukraine’s European integration and support along this path, including for the earliest possible opening of the negotiating clusters.
