In Kyiv, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Federal Chancellor of Germany Friedrich Merz, who is visiting our country, honored the memory of fallen Ukrainian warriors.
The Head of State and the Federal Chancellor placed memorial candles and paid tribute to the fallen Ukrainian defenders at the People’s Memorial of National Remembrance on Independence Square in Kyiv.
“We appreciate this respect for our warriors and solidarity with the Ukrainian people. It is important that at this difficult time, Germany is standing with us – in support and in remembrance. Eternal honor to all defenders of Ukraine who gave their lives for the sake of Ukraine and all of Europe,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote on social media.
