President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with Prime Minister of Croatia Andrej Plenković to coordinate next steps and discuss priority issues of bilateral cooperation.

One of the key focuses of the meeting was the progress of the negotiation process on establishing a just and sustainable peace. The Head of State emphasized that ultimatum-style demands of the Russian side are unacceptable and added that, in response to such blatant efforts to prolong the war, the world must take effective steps to put pressure on Russia.

The leaders also discussed Ukraine’s defense needs, primarily in artillery systems and ammunition. In total, Croatia has already delivered 13 packages of military aid to Ukrainian defenders.

The meeting also addressed other forms of support for Ukrainians. In particular, Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Andrej Plenković discussed continued cooperation in the rehabilitation and medical treatment of Ukrainian warriors in Croatia, as well as wellness programs for children. This October, Croatia will host the first international conference on support for Ukrainian veterans.
