President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with Crown Prince Haakon of Norway, who arrived in Ukraine for the first time.
The Head of State expressed his gratitude for the visit, which the Crown Prince began with a trip to a military medical rehabilitation center in Irpin.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked Norway and the Norwegian people for their continued support of Ukraine, particularly for the government’s decision to nearly triple its assistance to Ukraine this year.
The meeting also addressed support for Ukraine’s energy sector. The President emphasized the importance of Norway’s $450 million contribution toward Ukraine’s energy security, as well as funding for the procurement and delivery of natural gas to Ukraine.
In addition, President Zelenskyy and Crown Prince Haakon discussed investment in Ukraine’s defense industry.
Special attention was also given to deepening cultural ties between Ukraine and Norway.
