President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed gratitude to Ukrainian rescuers who distinguished themselves while eliminating the consequences of another series of Russian strikes during the night of August 21. The Head of State shared this in his evening address.
“Today, I want to thank all the employees of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, everyone who always helps people in the wake of Russian strikes. It is important that, despite everything, Ukrainians know how to protect lives and help everyone around them. The State Emergency Service, the police, all our services, many volunteers, medical workers, first responders – all are as functional and effective as possible. Thank you,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
The President specifically recognized the staff of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region: firefighter-rescuer of the 22nd State Fire and Rescue Unit Vasyl Zeikan, crew commander of the 27th State Fire and Rescue Unit Anton Zhuravlov, driver of the 3rd State Fire and Rescue Unit Leonid Zhupii, team commander of the 4th State Fire and Rescue Unit Andrii Simtsov, and firefighter-rescuer of the 18th State Fire and Rescue Unit Oleksandr Bondarenko.
The President also expressed gratitude to the staff of the Mobile Rescue Center of Rapid Response of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine: rescue driver of the rescue operations group of the Emergency Response Unit for Disaster Consequences Yurii Zhelaha, head of the rescue operations group of the Emergency Response Unit for Disaster Consequences Kostiantyn Silaiev, rescuer of the rescue operations group of the Emergency Response Unit for Disaster Consequences Vitalii Moshkovskyi, and feldsher of the rescue operations group of the Emergency Response Unit for Disaster Consequences Mariia Kukla.
The President also recognized the staff of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kyiv: senior rescuer of the specialized rescue operations group of the Special Purpose Emergency Rescue Unit Yurii Lozynskyi, senior rescuer of the specialized rescue operations group of the Special Purpose Emergency Rescue Unit Mykola Los, rescuer of the specialized rescue operations group of the Special Purpose Emergency Rescue Unit Borys Ivanchenko, deputy head of the 2nd State Fire and Rescue Unit Ihor Lysak, team commander of the 2nd State Fire and Rescue Unit Vadym Yaroshevskyi, and firefighter-rescuer of the 2nd State Fire and Rescue Unit Andrii Omelchenko.
