President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented 20 certificates for apartments to Heroes of Ukraine and the families of warriors posthumously awarded this title.
The Head of State noted that our country continues its tradition of showing gratitude to its defenders.
“Gratitude, respect, and a clear fact: that every Hero, every family of Ukrainian Heroes, should have a home of their own here in Ukraine. Ukraine has survived thanks to all those who fight for Ukraine, who write the history of an independent state, the history of a new Ukraine that does not give up what is its own, that stands with dignity and builds its own strength. A Ukraine that does not allow itself to be erased, that does not forget,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized.
The President stressed that Ukraine remembers all its Heroes who gave their lives for our country. Those present honored their memory with a minute of silence.
“All this time, we have stood our ground with dignity against an enemy that is greater in number and size, yet is failing to achieve its goals on the ground. Because their supposed advantage actually lacks the most important thing – what our state, our people, Ukraine have – our people. People who know and understand exactly what they are fighting for, what and whom they are defending, and that in this war, truth and justice are on the Ukrainian side, on our side,” the Head of State said.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukrainians are standing firm, fighting, and defending their future, freedom, families, homes, and right to live as they choose on their own land. The President thanked everyone who stands with Ukraine, who is now in combat, at combat posts and carrying out missions, who works in the defense industry, and who ensures Ukraine’s strength and resilience.
The Head of State presented the certificates to Heroes and the families of fallen defenders, including warriors of the Land Forces, Territorial Defense Forces, Navy, Air Force, Airborne Assault Forces, and Support Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as the National Guard of Ukraine. Among them are pilots and warriors who distinguished themselves in the battles for the Kyiv region, Kyiv, and Mariupol in 2022, carried out missions in the Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Sumy regions, and participated in the Kursk operation.
