President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented apartment certificates to Heroes of Ukraine and to the families of warriors who were posthumously awarded this title.
He emphasized that Ukraine exists, endures, and moves forward thanks to its Heroes and to the many Ukrainians who are doing everything possible to ensure that the state remains strong, sovereign, independent, and capable of defending itself.
“Ukraine will always be grateful to its Heroes — to all those who truly uphold our independence on their shoulders. And today we continue the tradition of expressing such gratitude from the Ukrainian state to Ukrainian warriors. Apartments for our Heroes and for the families of our Heroes are the very least the state can do to truly thank them – and the most important thing every family should have is a home of their own,” said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The President stressed that Ukraine will always remember the Heroes who gave their lives so that our state could exist and remain independent. Those present honored the memory of the fallen with a moment of silence.
The Head of State presented 20 apartment certificates: 13 to the families of fallen defenders, and 7 directly to Heroes of Ukraine. These are warriors of the Land Forces, Special Operations Forces, Air Force, Airborne Forces, Navy, and the National Guard of Ukraine. They distinguished themselves in battles against the Russian occupiers in the Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, and Kherson regions, as well as during a defensive operation in the Kursk region.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine will continue to provide housing for Heroes and the families of fallen warriors, as well as to implement all necessary programs and decisions in support of Ukrainian defenders.
