President Met with French Fishermen Who Provide Ukrainian Cities with Anti-Drone Nets

At the Embassy of Ukraine in France, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with representatives of the Kernic Solidarités association and the National Committee for fishery and aquaculture. They provide Ukrainian cities with anti-drone nets.

“It is a great honor for me to meet you and thank you in person. You are people with big hearts,” the Head of State said.

The President noted that he had recently visited Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, and eastern Ukraine, and everywhere the nets provided by the association and the committee help protect lives from drones.

“For me, it was equally important today to thank both the people who build air defense systems and ordinary people – but with extraordinary vision and warmth – who support us so strongly. With your own money, you have delivered more than 200 kilometers of nets for Ukrainian roads and created safe logistical routes. And this is extremely important for us. I think you cannot even imagine how many lives have been saved thanks to your help,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized.

Representatives of the association and the committee praised the courage and resilience of the Ukrainian people in resisting Russian aggression. They noted that they had already been to Ukraine four times and would continue helping Ukrainians for as long as needed. In particular, the association and the committee are working on securing additional funding.

As a gesture of gratitude, the President presented the fishermen with watches, while they gifted him a signature fishing vest bearing the words “Tout commence au Finistère.”
