President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy began a working visit to Lithuania with a meeting with President of Lithuania Gitanas Nausėda.
Today in Vilnius, events will take place to mark the 163rd anniversary of the January Uprising of 1863–1864, along with a Lublin Triangle summit with the participation of the Presidents of Lithuania, Ukraine, and Poland.
The Head of State informed the President of Lithuania about Russia’s daily attacks on Ukraine’s energy system. On Saturday night alone, the Russians launched more than 370 attack drones and 21 missiles of various types at civilian and energy infrastructure. Lithuania has already taken a decision to help Ukrainian cities and communities by transferring nearly one hundred generators. Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked Lithuania for its support and outlined Ukraine’s other needs to strengthen energy resilience and air defense.
Special attention was given to military cooperation, the implementation of joint defense projects and the Lithuanian side’s proposal to launch a weapons export platform in Vilnius. In particular, the leaders discussed the amount of Lithuania’s next contribution to the PURL initiative and cooperation within the SAFE instrument.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy shared the latest details of diplomatic efforts to achieve a dignified peace, including meetings in Abu Dhabi involving the Ukrainian, American, and Russian delegations. The President emphasized that Ukraine, as always, is doing everything possible on its part to bring the war to an end.
