President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
The Head of State expressed gratitude for the recent energy support package, which included, among other things, generators and transformers. The President of Ukraine informed the President of Azerbaijan about the overall situation in the energy system and the consequences of Russian strikes on infrastructure facilities.
The leaders discussed the development of bilateral relations and the implementation of projects in the energy sector. Azerbaijan is interested in them and ready to deepen cooperation. Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Ilham Aliyev agreed that their teams will work through all the necessary issues.
Special attention was given to the negotiation process aimed at achieving peace. The Head of State emphasized that Ukraine always constructively supports efforts that can help achieve a just peace. The only reason the war is still ongoing is Russia’s unwillingness to end it.
