President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Federal President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
The Ukrainian leader thanked the Federal Republic of Germany for its European leadership in providing military aid to Ukraine, especially for its contribution to saving lives and delivering air defense systems.
The President of Germany assured that the country will continue supporting Ukraine and the Ukrainian people in their fight against Russian aggression.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Frank-Walter Steinmeier paid special attention to expanding the network of Ukrainian-German municipal partnerships, which help implement recovery projects and provide direct support to Ukrainian communities where it is most needed.
The President of Ukraine highlighted the importance of the Federal President of Germany’s patronage over the Chernihiv region. The state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is helping equip shelters in four communities of that region.
