President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met for the first time with Hereditary Prince Alois of Liechtenstein.
The Head of State expressed gratitude for Liechtenstein’s humanitarian assistance to Ukraine. He emphasized that support for the energy sector is especially critical for Ukrainians during the winter months, as every winter since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion has posed new challenges to the stable operation of Ukraine’s energy system under Russian strikes on energy infrastructure.
The Hereditary Prince of Liechtenstein praised the courage of Ukrainians and assured of continued support. He underscored that Ukraine is defending not only itself, but all of Europe.
The meeting also addressed Russia’s violations of NATO countries’ airspace, which have become increasingly frequent recently. Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that Russia is attempting to probe for vulnerabilities through such actions.
According to the President, it is essential to increase pressure on Russia in order to end the war and to prevent any intentions of the Russian Federation to expand its aggression to other European countries.
