United, We Will All Be Part of Europe – Europe That Is Free and Peaceful – President on the Occasion of Moldova’s Independence Day

In Chișinău, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy took part in events marking Moldova’s Independence Day, where Ukrainian warriors also participated in the military parade.

The Head of State addressed young people who were born in an independent Moldova and urged them to value those who fought for this right – the right to be independent.

“Moldova has been through a lot over these 35 years. And you have shown that Moldova is a strong nation, and, without question, a great country. You are a great people – a European nation. And I’m absolutely sure that united, we will all be part of Europe – Europe that is free and peaceful,” the President said.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that our peoples value human life in the same way, want to live with dignity in their own countries, and seek to remain European nations, although this does not align with what the Kremlin wants.

“Russia is doing a lot to ruin our lives in Ukraine, to ruin your lives in Moldova, and to make it as difficult as possible for Romania. This is the ‘Russian world.’ It spoils. It destroys. But we will win. I am sure,” the Head of State emphasized.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked Moldova for supporting Ukraine and stressed that it is important that the flags of Ukraine and Moldova are together today.

“This is a great day for your nation! I am proud to be here! Ukraine loves Moldova! We respect your country, respect your people, respect your independence,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy concluded.
