First Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Sergiy Kyslytsya met with American blogger and journalist Laura Loomer.
After a long conversation, they visited the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra together, where a Russian drone struck the Dormition Cathedral a month ago.
"It was interesting to sit down and talk to Laura Loomer and then to go to Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. Seeing for the first time and for me yet another time how Putin droned a heart of Christianity is a very powerful and moving experience. Thank you, Laura Loomer, for taking initiative and traveling to Ukraine now," Sergiy Kyslytsya noted.
The American blogger arrived in Kyiv several days ago. On social media, she has posted various videos, including about the Dormition Cathedral damaged in a Russian attack.
"You're not going to look me in the eyes and tell me with a straight face that you are preserving Christianity by drone striking the oldest monastery in Ukraine and quite literally trying to blow Jesus Christ up with a “shahed” drone. I just wanted to show you because we're inundated with so much Russian propaganda, and I just don't think that you should be allowed to say that you're protecting Christianity if you're trying to drone strike Jesus Christ," she said.
On the night of June 15, Russia launched a massive attack on Ukraine, during which a Russian drone struck the Dormition Cathedral, sparking a fire.
"Putin constantly portrays Russia as some kind of savior of Christianity. He likes to present himself, and he says that Russia is trying to denazify Ukraine and that they need to invade Ukraine because they need to further make it a part of their Christian empire. When you care about Christianity so much, why would you drone the oldest monastery in Ukraine? Why would you do that?" Laura Loomer emphasized.
