I have just signed a new sanctions package – and these are special sanctions targeting numerous Russian financial schemes, particularly cryptocurrency-related ones. The sanctions were introduced at the initiative of the National Bank of Ukraine. This is both a synchronization with our partners and our own initiative.

A brief summary of what we have accomplished during the week with our friends, the friends of Ukraine.

We are scaling this up to the hilt: increasing production of such types of drones – the interceptor ones – and expanding training and preparation for our drone operators. The mission is clear.

We’re working to get real results from our joint defense programs. Ukraine is ready – ready to open the accession clusters, ready to move forward with the negotiations, and ready for decisions that benefit both sides.

One way or another, we must ensure protection for our people. There were also discussions today about the next steps in our relations with the European Union, during this period of Denmark’s six-month Presidency.

We have clear evidence – confirmed by our partners – that sanctions are truly painful for Russia. And if pressure keeps growing, it will push Russia to think beyond the front and hatred of its neighbors.

As for drones – our domestic production will be ramped up. Today, we discussed everything related to orders, contracts, and the full capacity of our production. I will talk with our partners about new investments in Ukraine – in our weapons. The priority is drones, interceptor drones and long-range strike drones.

Today, I also signed a decree enacting the decision of Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council regarding the Ottawa Convention – the convention banning anti-personnel mines.

Today, we are marking Constitution Day of Ukraine – the Constitution of our state, our nation. The first word of its first article is “Ukraine.” And this reflects our ultimate goal, our mission. Ukraine is – and will be – on earth. Ukrainians are – and will be – on earth.

I gave several special instructions – I’m not disclosing the details yet, but the outcome must be clear: increased production in Ukraine and for Ukraine. All opportunities must be available – both for businesses and for state manufacturers. The main point is that the scale of our production and the pace of drone development must be fully aligned with the conditions of the war.
