President of Ukraine

Speeches

Internal strength is the foundation of our external unity and of our relations with the world. And for that internal strength to exist, there must be no reasons to get distracted by anything other than defending Ukraine.

Already this week – at the end of the week – our team, together with American representatives, will continue to translate the points we secured in Geneva into a form that puts us on the path to peace and security guarantees. There will be a meeting of delegations. The Ukrainian delegation will be well-prepared and focused on substantive work.

Our Ukrainian production is our guarantee of protection. Ukrainians cannot depend on whether something can be sourced from the global market or from partners’ stockpiles. Production targets must be met on time.

I count on continued active cooperation with the American side and President Trump. Much depends on the United States because it’s America's strength that Russia takes most seriously.

Ukraine has the framework developed by our teams in Geneva. That framework is on the table, and we’re ready to move forward together – with the United States of America, with personal engagement of President Trump, and with Europe, with leaders, and with all partners who have the strength and capacity to help.

As of now, after Geneva, there are fewer points – no longer 28 – and many of the right elements have been taken into account in this framework. There is still work for all of us to do together – it is very challenging – to finalize the document, and we must do everything with dignity.

Right now, we are at a critical moment. And we are working closely with the United States, with European partners, with many, many others to define steps that can end Russia’s war against us, against Ukraine, and bring real security.

A lot is changing – we are working very carefully on the steps needed to end the war.

In the coming days, consultations with our partners will take place on the steps needed to end the war. I have signed the decree approving the composition of Ukraine’s delegation, and I have also authorized all the relevant directives.

We will – and must – do everything so that, as a result, the war ends, but Ukraine does not end, Europe does not end, nor does global peace.
