President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with Prime Minister of Sweden Ulf Kristersson to discuss the Istanbul talks and coordinate the next steps.
The Head of State expressed gratitude for the joint statement by the Nordic and Baltic countries in support of a full, unconditional ceasefire for at least 30 days and direct negotiations between Ukraine and Russia at the highest level.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized his readiness to negotiate with Vladimir Putin, as evidenced by the President of Ukraine’s visit to Türkiye yesterday. Despite the low level of the Russian delegation, Ukraine sent its team to participate in the talks.
The Head of State provided an update on the Istanbul meeting and his joint phone call with leaders of France, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Poland to the U.S. President Donald Trump.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Ulf Kristersson coordinated their next steps and discussed the need to increase pressure on Russia.
Special attention was given to cooperation within the Coalition of the Willing, developing security guarantees, and defense cooperation.
