In one of Kherson’s hospitals located in a zone of constant shelling, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke with doctors and patients.
The hospital’s general director reported to the Head of State that the surgical department is treating patients with multiple blast injuries sustained as a result of Russian drone and artillery attacks. In addition, an intensive care unit has been set up underground, where medical staff can provide round-the-clock surgical care in safe conditions.
The President thanked the doctors for their work and for saving the lives of Ukrainian men and women.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy also heard a report from Head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin on the construction of new medical infrastructure facilities in the Kherson region. Currently, 11 healthcare facilities have underground hospitals already equipped, and another five are planned to be completed by the end of the year.
