In Munich, the President Met with the Leadership and Employees of the First Ukrainian-German Joint Drone Production Venture

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy began his visit to Munich with a meeting with the leadership and employees of the first Ukrainian-German joint venture, Quantum Frontline Industries, which produces drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Germany’s Minister of Defense Boris Pistorius also took part in the meeting.

The Head of State viewed the production lines and observed a test of the first attack drone manufactured at the facility. The drone production technology is Ukrainian; the drones are powered by AI and have already proven their effectiveness on the frontline.

The company’s leadership outlined the production capabilities and potential, as well as plans for further scaling. As early as this year, Ukraine will receive the first ten thousand drones manufactured at this facility.

Quantum Frontline Industries has become the first serial production facility of Ukrainian unmanned systems in Europe. The project is being implemented within the framework of German-Ukrainian governmental cooperation under the Build with Ukraine initiative and is financed by a dedicated German task force.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked Federal Chancellor of Germany Friedrich Merz, the Federal Government of Germany, Boris Pistorius personally, and the entire German society for supporting Ukraine.

“We are very proud that Ukraine has such talented people, and we are very proud that we have such close ties with such strong German partners. It is great that we have the first large joint production facility in Europe – and this truly is the first of its kind. I believe we have achieved an excellent result,” the President said.

By the end of this year, Ukraine plans to open ten such drone production ventures in Europe.

Also, in the presence of the Head of State, several documents were signed. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha and Minister of Defense of Germany Boris Pistorius signed an agreement between the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Federal Ministry of Defense of Germany on the integration of Ukrainian instructors into the training institutions and combat training centers of the German Army. In addition, three memoranda on establishing joint ventures were concluded, as well as a Memorandum of Understanding between Ukrainian Defense Industry and SAAB.
