President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy honored the memory of the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks at the 9/11 Memorial and Museum in New York.
“A vile and horrific terrorist attack that claimed the lives of innocent people. And we will never accept such vileness from terrorists. We will always remember those who fight terror and those who have fallen victim to it. May all those who lost their lives rest in peace,” the Head of State said on social media.
The memorial stands on the site of the former World Trade Center complex in New York and commemorates nearly 3,000 people who were killed in the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, as well as six people who died in the February 26, 1993, bombing of the World Trade Center. Among those killed on September 11 were people of Ukrainian descent.
